Pealing of Cathedral bells for 150th anniversary of Melbourne's designation as Archdiocese

Sunday 31 March (Easter Sunday!) marks 150 years since Melbourne's designation as an Archdiocese. To mark the occasion, and Archbishop Goold's enthronement as Melbourne's first Archbishop, the bells at St Patrick's Cathedral will be rung for more than three and half hours! Bellringers from Catholic cathedrals around the country, including St Mary’s Cathedral Sydney, St Francis Xavier Cathedral Adelaide and St Patrick’s Cathedral Parramatta, will join local bellringers and ring the bells in celebration of this anniversary.
